ISSCoP Certification Process

This section lists the main stages involved in the ISSCoP certification process. The ISSCoP team in the CSO will engage with public authorities and provide the necessary supports and guidance on the ISSCoP process.

ISSCoP Certification Process Stages

This section lists the main stages of the ISSCoP certification process

  1. The ISSCoP Certification team engage and discuss the scope of the product(s) with the Statistical Coordinator in the Organisation compiling Official Statistics. Upon agreement of the Scope, the Organisation are also required to complete the Commitment to ISSCoP Certification Document.
  2. The Quality Coordinator will organise a Process mapping session with the Organisation to document all the relevant processes and corresponding documentation relating to the Product(s).
  3. The next step in the process is a discussion regarding the requirement for Open Data Hosting. The Quality Coordinator will collaborate with the Organisation and discuss Px Stat Data Hosting on the CSO Website.
  4. The fourth step in the process relates to the required documentation that the Organisation will forward to the ISSCoP Certification team.
  5. Once all documentation has been submitted by the Organisation, the ISSCoP Certification team will convene an Internal Review Board who will examine all documentation and provide recommendations /feedback. These recommendations/feedback will be discussed with the Organisation.
  6. When all recommendations have been agreed by the Organisation, the ISSCoP Certification Team will arrange an Onsite visit to the Organisation’s office.
  7. Following the onsite visit, the ISSCoP Certification team will submit all relevant documentation to the CSO Management Board for review/approval.
  8. Once the CSO Management Board award ISSCoP Certification, the ISSCoP Certification will notify the Organisation. The Organisation will then be entitled to publish their Official Statistics using the ISSCoP Certification Logo. The ISSCoP Certification team will update News and Events and Official Statistics with ISSCoP Certification on the National Data website.
  9. The ISSCoP Certification team will contact the Organisation five years after the Certification has been awarded to discuss a Recertification process.
